What Renlow reads
Your payment setup contains more information than your monthly statement shows.
Renlow looks beyond the headline processing rate to how money actually reaches your business, where revenue leaks and how much administration the setup creates.
- Cost
- Are you paying competitively?
- Cash flow
- How efficiently does money reach your business?
- Revenue protection
- Where could payment processes expose revenue?
- Risk
- How resilient is your payment setup?
- Customer experience
- How effectively can customers pay?
- Operations
- How much unnecessary payment administration exists?

Quantified opportunity
Find the opportunity.
Not every pound is a payment-cost saving. Renlow states what each figure is, how it was sized and how far it should be trusted.

Two labels travel with every figure, and they answer two different questions. One says where the number came from. The other says how far it should be trusted. A figure can come from a published rate and still be a modelled estimate, because the rate is a fact and your future volume is not.
- Where did this number come from?
- The small label beside a figure. It names the source: the provider's own published pricing, an answer you gave us, a named outside benchmark, or Renlow's own model.
- How far should I trust it?
- The confidence line under a figure. It says how much of the figure rests on stated facts rather than on assumptions Renlow has had to make — and, where too much is assumed, no figure is shown at all.
- High
- Built on figures you stated or prices the provider publishes. Treat as a working number and confirm it against a written quote.
- Medium
- Your own figures, with one step Renlow had to model and has named. Check the named assumption holds for your business, then act.
- Indicative
- A direction of travel: how much applies to you is assumed, not observed. Test it before you plan around it. Do not budget on it.
- Withheld
- Renlow is missing an input, so it states no figure rather than guessing one. Supply the named input and the figure appears. Nothing is padded.
- Insufficient
- Not enough evidence for Renlow to make any recommendation here. Nothing to act on yet — the missing evidence is named.
Some providers do not publish their rates. Renlow says 'priced by quote' and states no price for them, rather than inventing a number to fill the comparison. It is not a mark against the provider.
The example above contains 6 medium items, 2 indicative items, 2 high items, 1 withheld item.
Independent recommendation
Not every business should switch.
A provider can be the strongest fit without having a compelling commercial case to switch. Renlow separates the two.
- Switch
- A different provider is both the stronger fit and the stronger case.
- Benchmark
- Test the current arrangement against the market before moving.
- Optimise
- Keep the provider; change how the setup is configured.
- Renegotiate
- The commercial terms, not the provider, are the constraint.
- Retain
- The present arrangement stands up on the evidence available.
- Gather more information
- A required figure is missing, so no case is claimed.

How Renlow works as a business
Credibility from method, not from claims.
Renlow publishes no customer names, testimonials or savings claims. What it can show is how the assessment is governed.
- Independent
- Renlow takes no commission, referral fee or introduction fee from any payment provider, so nothing is earned if you switch. It has no reason to point you anywhere in particular.
- Evidence-led
- Every provider price carries its source and the date it was last checked. Anything older than the allowed window is marked for re-check and taken out of your figures rather than left to age quietly.
- Transparent
- Where Renlow has to assume something — how much of your volume is eligible, how many customers change behaviour — it names the assumption beside the figure so you can disagree with it.
- Commercially disciplined
- Renlow does not need you to switch. If the gap is too small to matter, or the evidence does not support a move, it says keep what you have.
- Willing to say nothing
- If a required input is missing, Renlow states no figure and names what it needs. A blank is more useful to you than a guess dressed as a number.
- Honest about quotes
- Some providers do not publish their rates. Renlow says 'priced by quote' and states no price for them, rather than inventing a number to fill the comparison. It is not a mark against the provider.
